Why was the project undertaken?
In order to create conditions for conducting courses in the profession of recording and sound engineer in accordance with the requirements. The recording studio together with the sound control room will enable conducting a of good training in professional-like conditions. Laboratory of electro-acoustic and public address system equipment will create favorable conditions for conducting courses with the use of DAW software and will prepare students for the exams: S.2 - recording and S.3 - implementation of public address systems.
What has been achieved?
The acoustic adaptation of the classroom and purchase of the equipment required for both laboratories were conducted successfully.
It is worth noting that in parallel to this project were implemented complementary projects supporting the training in the profession of sound and recording technician: European Recording and Sound Production - internship program through mobility project at Highbury College in Great Britain – 40 students of the profession participated in 2-week internships at the Highbury College studio in Portsmouth within the project PO WER under the Erasmus+ program, as well as the project: The Program of Professional Activation for recording and sound engineers in the Piotr Latoska Upper-Secondary School Complex No. 4 in Ruda Śląska – including career counseling, certified courses and professional internships for 25 students in this profession, financed from ESF - ITI.
Who uses/benefits from the effects of the project?
40 students learning the profession of recording and sound engineer and the entire school community – students of other professions who exhibit musical interests, preparation for school promotion, local institutions and associations (recording sessions).
What are the main benefits of the project?
The most important benefit is the creation of conditions similar to those in professional recording studios, enabling a good preparation of students for the profession. The important role of the recording studio in the promotion of the school.
